About the Play


Cast of the state qualifying production from Cross Schools
(Bluffton, SC).

Comedy.  30-40 minutes.  5-8 males, 6-7 females (3 roles are voice only; 11-15 performers possible).  Suitable for middle school and older performers, elementary school and older audiences.  First performance royalty:  $60.  Each additional performance:  $35.  All licenses include permission to make copies of the script as necessary for production.  Professional rights should be negotiated directly with YouthPLAYS at info@youthplays.com.

Synopsis

Goldilocks is on the run from the Three Bears. She flees Fairytale Land and hides out in Nurseryland in the house of compulsive kisser Georgie Porgie and his crazy and colourful nursery rhyme friends. Will the Three Bears track her down? Can her new friends protect her? What does she know about the missing Piggy Piggie Wee? Nursery rhyme characters come to life in gleeful, chaotic abandonment in the comic tradition of Shrek. Over 60 nursery rhyme referencescan you spot them all?
